If you want to travel by bus, you can start from Yen Nghia or My Dinh wharf, where there are many buses to Bac Kan. After that, you have to get on a vehicle from the bus station to travel to Ba Be lake.
Currently, a number of services and garages have direct routes to Ba Be Lake on Saturday mornings or every Friday evening for tourists. You need to ask the caravan about the itinerary to get the most suitable trip for your time, as well as limit the costs incurred.
There are many ways for you to get to Ba Be Lake
The ticket price from My Dinh to Bac Kan bus station is 100.000 VND per person. From Bac Kan bus station, you continue to catch a bus to Ba Be Lake, the ticket price is 50.000 VND per person.
One note for you is that you should not depart for Ba Be on the evening of Friday. At My Dinh bus station, the evening bus runs to Bac Kan but there are no buses running in the evening from Bac Kan to Ba Be lake. Therefore, if you go from Friday night, you have to rent a room to sleep in Bac Kan town for one night so it will cost more. Accommodation prices here range from 200 – 300.000 VND per night.
