After breakfast, we head southeast on Highway 2, making our way toward the serene town of Phu Tho. Riding along the river dyke, we follow the edge of the Red River, where it meets the Black River, their waters merging before flowing together towards Hanoi. Entering the lowlands of the delta plains, we find ourselves amidst the fertile agricultural heartland of northern Vietnam. Crossing a bridge over the Black River, our journey continues through the historic town of Son Tay before connecting to the highway leading back to Hanoi. We aim to return before the rush-hour hustle at 4 PM, skillfully navigating the increasing traffic as the city comes alive in the late afternoon.
