Our exhilarating journey begins on the outskirts of the bustling city, where we gear up and collect our bikes. After a comprehensive briefing on the North Vietnam motorbike tour and a hearty breakfast, we hit the road. Riding along the western edges of Hanoi, we follow the winding path of the majestic Red River, with roads perfectly suited for an exciting and seamless motorbike adventure.
Our first stop is the mesmerizing Thac Ba Lake, a natural wonder that sets the stage for our expedition. From here, we tackle rugged trails leading to the charming Vu Linh village, home to the Dzao ethnic people. Nestled along the tranquil lakeside, this village offers a glimpse into an authentic way of life, enriching our adventure with deep cultural connections.
Welcomed with open arms by the warm-hearted Dzao community, we settle into a traditional homestay, embracing the rich traditions and hospitality of our hosts. The day begins with a ride through the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s most awe-inspiring routes. Towering cliffs frame the winding road, while the Nho Que River snakes through the deep valley below, creating a scene of unparalleled beauty. Every turn offers a new perspective of Northern Vietnam’s raw, untamed grandeur.
For the thrill-seekers, the journey continues with a challenging single-track ride along the Nho Que River-a true test of skill and endurance. This rugged trail delivers an adrenaline rush, surrounded by the stunning, untouched wilderness.
A well-deserved lunch in Meo Vac offers a chance to refuel and experience local flavors before embarking on a unique highlight of the day—a bamboo raft ride on the Nho Que River. As we stand before its thunderous flow, surrounded by lush greenery and towering limestone formations, we take in the sheer power and beauty of nature.
Our expedition continues to Nui Thung Mountain, also known as the "Gog Eye Mountain", an iconic natural wonder that offers panoramic views of Northern Vietnam’s diverse terrain. As dusk falls, we arrive at the Sai Gon Ban Gioc Resort, nestled in the serene surroundings near the waterfall. Our first stop is the captivating Nguom Ngao Cave, a hidden gem filled with stunning stalactites and stalagmites, creating an underground wonderland that adds a sense of mystery and awe to our journey.
The highlight of the day awaits as we ride towards Ba Be Lake, a breathtaking freshwater haven surrounded by towering limestone cliffs and lush greenery. Cruising along scenic routes, we eventually reach its tranquil shores, where an immersive boat trip awaits. Drifting across the calm, emerald waters, we uncover hidden corners of the lake, gaining a deeper appreciation of its untouched beauty.
