During the first 2 days of the tour, we were taken to Ban Gioc waterfall – one of the most beautiful and stunning falls of Vietnam. The Ban Gioc waterfall lies in the area of Cao Bang province, and interestingly, at the border of Vietnam and China. What makes me thrilled the most is that I can stand on the territory of Vietnam, all the while watching friendly Chinese on the other side. I didn’t think there would be such a magnificent place between two countries, but the Ban Gioc waterfall made me rethink myself.

We learned that Ban Gioc waterfall is the fourth largest border waterfall in the world. Its original starts from China so both China and Vietnam share the benefits from it. The Ban Gioc waterfall also starts from China, not Vietnam, but the phenomenal part of the waterfall is available and presented for both countries.
The refreshing water and atmosphere really helped us relax and forget all the stress. We luckily went on the spring, when the waterfall had plenty of water and created a breathtaking scenery. According to the English speaking tour guide, the fall wouldn’t be that beautiful in the summer, but still, it would be a remarkable sight.

Plus the Ban Gioc waterfall, the tour even took us to a nearby pagoda – where we could see a panoramic view of the entire waterfall and over to China and the Quay Son River. The sight really was something you shouldn’t miss in your life.
Then we got to see Nguom Ngao cave - a 2700-meter cave that was created over millions of years and today features beautiful, unique stalagmite and stalactite formations not found in other caves in Vietnam. The place was even more special due to the roaring sounds of the underground river, which had been running over the rocks below the cave. Visiting the place, I really understood the magical power of nature. Mother nature really can create anything.

On the last 2 days, we explored Ba Be Lake. I was explained that this was the largest and also the most beautiful water lake in Northern Vietnam. At first, I thought it was just a lake and had nothing special, but it turned out that I was wrong. The sceneries here was so spectacular that I had to be awed.
In Ba Be Lake, there were limestone cliffs covered in primary forest reflect off the mirror-like surface of the lake – which is Vietnam’s largest natural lake to create a picture-perfect setting. On the third day, we started the morning with a 10 kilometers trek up the mountains and through the peaceful yet lively jungle. There, we got the chance to see more ethnic groups such as Green H’mong and Dao people – which was an interesting experience.

We also visited more interesting places such as Hua Ma Cave and Dau Dang waterfall. When rethought of it, that was a lot of destinations in 4 days and 3 nights, because the first day was mostly spent on traveling on the long road. For a person with just a short period of time for a vacation like me, I really enjoyed and liked the trip into Northeast Vietnam.

Why was the tour called “Fast n Furious?” Mostly it is because the tour was designed for busy people, so they can visit as many tourist destinations as possible but only in a decent amount of time. That way, they can enjoy a remarkable vacation but still don’t have to drop out of work too much.
The itinerary of the tour was quite fast. I and the crew had to drive continuously 6 to 8 hours a day, but we didn’t feel tired or worried because the driver of Frontier Travel Vietnam was the best professional drivers who are used to driving travelers.
