Day 1: Da Nang - Prao (L/D)
Kick off the first day of the tour by visiting the antique port city in Southeast of Viet Nam - Hoi An Ancient Town with the peaceful natural beauty of small traditional handicraft villages. Another hot spot that can’t be skipped on the way is Dong Giang with spectacular sceneries and pleasant weather of a grandiose outskirt. After that, we will step foot in Prao Town to fall in love with the exotic and unique culture of a mountainous district.
Driving across Prao remote mountainous village and landing at historical Cham towers, trippers will have the occasion to put steps on the French – Indochina war monuments. After refreshing and enjoying such breath-taking views, we will head Co Tu minority towns to know more about local routine life then have lunch near the local idyllic mountain streams.
Day 2: Prao - Khe Sanh (B/L/D)
Day 2: Prao - Khe Sanh (B/L/D)
On the second day, we will commence visiting the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail. Started in Nghe An and run nearly 1,000 kilometers down the length to Binh Phuoc, this path was the most important military supply route conveying weapons, ammunition and other provisions needed for the armed forces during the Viet Nam war. Known as the legend of Viet Nam, Ho Chi Minh Trail offers visitors an adventurous well-worn coastal route, suitable for motorcycling trekkers. Although it has barely changed, the trail still remains the inherently majestic and august beauty worth “one of the great achievements of military engineering of the 20th century”.
Continuing the trip, we will move to a tourist attraction along the Lao border – the pristine rainforest. With warm weather and quite year-round sunlight, this is an ideal destination for people to get rid of the hustle life by communing with nature and enjoying the fresh atmosphere. Departing off the rainforest, we will move to a spectacular mountain waterfall to take a short rest and have lunch. Blessed by nature, this magnificent waterfall ensures to cool you off when diving into such crystal-clear water.
Stepping at Thua Thien Hue province after a while resting, it’s time for visitors to visit one of the most famous battlefields under the American domination in the Northern Central region of Viet Nam to gain more knowledge about the dark ages of our country. At the end of the day, following the Ho Chi Minh Trail, we will drop in Quang Tri to visit Khe Sanh combat base, an unassailable American defense station to know more about the Viet Nam fierce war and the undaunted spirit of Vietnamese people as well.
Day 3: Khe Sanh - Hue (B/L/D)
Day 3: Khe Sanh - Hue (B/L/D)
Before crossing the provisional military demarcation Seventeenth parallel, a territorial boundary divided Northern and Southern Vietnam, we will drop in some historical places of the central coastal region. Outcropping to the North of Highway 9, the solitary karst Rock Pile and the artillery base Camp Carrol are must-visit spots when traveling across Viet Nam. Located in Dong Ha, Quang Tri, both two places are inaccessible marine corps of the United States during wartime in Viet Nam. If you want to learn more about the Vietnamese struggling movement, Rock Pile and Camp Carrol should be the top list of your journey.
Vinh Moc Tunnel of Dong Ha, an underground village in the 1960s, was a predominant bomb shelter for civilians during fierce bombing raids. Coming here, visitors will have the chance to relive an arduous period struggling for survival and the independence of the nation. After refreshing and having lunch at a gorgeous riverside, the Khe Sanh motorcycle tour heads alongside the coastline and reach Hue in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Hue - Dang Nang (B/L)
Day 4: Hue - Dang Nang (B/L)
Hue Imperial Citadel is one of the first-stop places when coming to Hue. With a charming and commanding site stretching along Huong riverbank, this royal architecture is chosen as “the capital of the Southern Kingdom” and the internationally well-known relic of the S-shaped country. Moreover, Hue is also famous for white-sanded beaches ensuring to exhilarate yourself when jumping into the local beach and tasting the local cuisines.
The next destination is Hai Van pass, a favorite mountainside route for generations of Vietnamese and foreign road-trippers. Located on the border of Hue and Da Nang with an approximate 21 km length, this twisting road of Highway 1 has long been a big challenge for adventurous drivers. Moving alongside the winding roads, we can contemplate lots of landscapes before moving to Da Nang and ending your tour for 4 Days 3 Nights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? We've got answers! Find common queries about our adventure programs.

Test Despite of the fact that Vietnamese government attempts to outlaw the practice, the US Dollars still acts as an alternative currency which is almost completely interchangeable with Vietnam Dong. Many prices, especially for hotels, tours and expensive restaurants, are still quoted in USD, though you can pay in dong if you’d rather - just check what exchange rate they’re using.

For everyday expenses, we recommend you carry a mix of US Dollars cash and Vietnam Dong. For larger items or when the exchange rate works in your favour, use dollars. For cyclos, local food stalls and small purchases, it’s best to use Vietnam Dong. In either case, make sure you always have a stock of small notes so that there is no need to worry about change.

The short answer is, there's never a bad time to visit Vietnam! Not all seasons are created equal though and there are pros and cons to each.
March - April is typically the best season in terms of weather to visit Vietnam. Expect sun, mild temperatures and limited rain! This also means busy season, so make sure to book in advance if you plan to visit during these months.
May - August is the hotter times of the year in Vietnam and also the rainier season. Don't be too scared of the rain though! It typically only lasts an hour or two per day, if that. This rarely disrupts travel or our tours and you get to enjoy warmer weather.
September - November are a secret gem of a time to visit Vietnam. The temperature becomes more moderate than the summer, rain stops, and the conditions are perfect for trekking or motorcycle trips. This is also when Full Moon Celebrations happen in Vietnam, so it's a particularly festive season to experience Vietnamese culture.
December - February are the coldest months in Vietnam. During these months you may prefer to visit the southern parts of Vietnam which are warmer, and we have many tours that operate there!
