Ba Be is the perfect place to take a vacation from your vacation. Chill out with a beer on the bamboo balcony of our homestay or explore the local fishing village on foot. Our adventure includes a 3 hour lake tour by boat as well as two nights in a traditional lakeside homestay.
Itinerary
At 7:30 AM, your guide and driver will arrive at your hotel in Hanoi to kick off your journey towards Ba Be Lake. Leaving the bustling city behind, you'll embark on a picturesque drive through the Vietnamese countryside. The landscape gradually transforms from urban sprawl to verdant hillsides and winding roads, offering glimpses of local life along the way.
After several hours on the road, you'll arrive at Ba Be Lake, where the tranquil beauty of the surroundings welcomes you. Check into your homestay accommodation nestled near the lake, where you'll have a chance to settle in and unwind from the journey.
In the late afternoon, take a leisurely walk around Ba Be Lake. This serene exploration allows you to absorb the natural splendor of the area—towering limestone cliffs, lush forests, and the shimmering waters of the lake create a breathtaking backdrop.

You can start the morning with a 10 km trek up the mountains and through the jungle where you’ll see more ethnic groups such as Green H’mong and Dao people. Return to the homestay for lunch before an afternoon spent cruising the lake by boat. Alternatively, for groups who want more trekking, you can instead hike 15 km out to Dau Dang waterfall where you’ll be picked up by boat to cruise around the lake, stopping for lunch and swimming as you like before the boat takes you back at the homestay.
