November offers a unique opportunity to experience Vietnam at a slower pace. The summer crowds have faded, the northern mountains enjoy cool autumn temperatures, and the Central Highlands are at their greenest after the rainy season. This 14-day motorcycle expedition takes riders from Hanoi to Saigon through remote mountain valleys, historic routes, highland plateaus, and tropical coastlines, revealing a quieter and more authentic side of Vietnam.
From the limestone landscapes of Mai Chau and Phong Nha to the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, the hidden highlands of Mang Den, and the mountain roads of Da Lat, every stage highlights the country's remarkable diversity. Designed for riders seeking open roads, cultural discovery, and unforgettable scenery, this journey showcases Vietnam beyond the usual tourist routes.

Leaving Hanoi behind, we head west toward the mountains of Hoa Binh Province. November brings cooler temperatures and excellent visibility, making it an ideal time to begin a long-distance motorcycle adventure.
Arriving in Mai Chau Valley, we find peaceful villages surrounded by rice fields and limestone mountains. The relaxed atmosphere offers the perfect introduction to northern Vietnam's rural beauty.
Today's route passes through rolling hills, farming communities, and remote villages rarely visited by international travelers. The roads are quiet, scenic, and ideal for enjoying the rhythm of the countryside.
As we continue south, the landscape gradually transitions from mountain valleys to broader agricultural plains before reaching Tan Ky.
The scenery becomes increasingly dramatic as towering limestone formations begin to dominate the horizon. Winding roads and quiet countryside create one of the most picturesque riding days of the journey.
By afternoon, we arrive in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, home to some of the most spectacular karst landscapes in Southeast Asia.
Today delivers one of the most memorable riding experiences of the expedition. Following remote sections of the Ho Chi Minh Trail, we travel through dense forests, mountain valleys, and isolated landscapes far removed from modern city life.
The combination of sweeping curves, minimal traffic, and beautiful scenery makes this a favorite day for many riders.
Leaving the western highlands behind, we descend toward the historic city of Hue. Along the way, riders experience the dramatic geographical transition between mountain regions and coastal plains.
Arriving in Hue, we discover a city rich in history, culture, and imperial heritage.
After nearly a week on the road, today offers time to enjoy Hoi An at your own pace. Explore the Ancient Town, relax by the beach, or simply soak up the town's unique atmosphere.
Leaving the coast behind, we climb into the mountains of central Vietnam. The scenery gradually changes from tropical lowlands to pine-covered hills and cool mountain forests.
Mang Den welcomes us with fresh air, quiet roads, and landscapes at their greenest following the rainy season.
Today's route crosses the heart of the Central Highlands, where fertile volcanic soil supports some of the country's most productive coffee plantations.
The roads flow through rolling hills and agricultural landscapes before reaching Buon Ma Thuot, Vietnam's coffee capital.
One of the most rewarding aspects of riding across Vietnam is experiencing how quickly the scenery changes. Today, we descend from cool mountain plateaus toward the tropical coastline.
By afternoon, the beaches and ocean views of Nha Trang provide a striking contrast to the highland landscapes explored over previous days.
Enjoy a well-earned day beside the sea. Whether relaxing on the beach, exploring nearby islands, or enjoying fresh seafood, today's slower pace offers the perfect opportunity to recharge.
Today's route follows one of southern Vietnam's most enjoyable mountain roads. Endless curves and changing scenery accompany us as we climb toward Da Lat.
Known for its cool climate, pine forests, and colonial architecture, Da Lat offers a completely different atmosphere from the tropical coast.
Leaving Da Lat behind, we descend through fertile agricultural regions before entering the lowland forests surrounding Cat Tien National Park.
The area is home to one of Vietnam's most important rainforest ecosystems and provides a final encounter with the country's remarkable natural diversity.
Our final ride takes us toward the vibrant streets of Saigon. From remote mountain roads and historic trails to highland plateaus, tropical coastlines, and rainforest landscapes, this journey has revealed a side of Vietnam rarely experienced by most travelers.
Arriving in Saigon marks the successful completion of an unforgettable motorcycle adventure from north to south.

Test Despite of the fact that Vietnamese government attempts to outlaw the practice, the US Dollars still acts as an alternative currency which is almost completely interchangeable with Vietnam Dong. Many prices, especially for hotels, tours and expensive restaurants, are still quoted in USD, though you can pay in dong if you’d rather - just check what exchange rate they’re using.
For everyday expenses, we recommend you carry a mix of US Dollars cash and Vietnam Dong. For larger items or when the exchange rate works in your favour, use dollars. For cyclos, local food stalls and small purchases, it’s best to use Vietnam Dong. In either case, make sure you always have a stock of small notes so that there is no need to worry about change.
