We go north to Dong Van and see some of Ha Giang's most famous sights, like the winding Tham Ma Pass, which goes around the steep rocky mountain tops. You won't know what to expect next; the views from above, through the thin clouds, will take your breath away. In the afternoon, we'll go to the old town of Dong Van and check into our hotel. The second day of our Vietnam motorcycle tour will be spent exploring the old stone buildings and learning about the culture in the area.
After a good night's sleep and breakfast at the guesthouse, good morning. Let's start our trip in Bao Lac and go to the Ban Gioc Waterfall. This waterfall is on the border between China and India. The biggest natural waterfall in Southeast Asia is Ban Gioc Waterfall. On the way, we'll stop by Thung Valley Mountain to take in the views of the limestone formations that are nearby. Today ends at Saigon Ban Gioc Resort, which is a great place to relax at night because it is close to the waterfall.
After breakfast, we'll go to Nguom Ngao Cave, which is known for its huge chambers and interesting stalactites. The trip goes on to Ba Be Lake, which is one of the biggest natural freshwater lakes in Vietnam. When we get there, we'll take a peaceful boat ride on calm waters surrounded by forests and limestone cliffs. Watch a cultural performance by the local community that shows us the traditional music and dances of the Muong, Thai, or Hmong people.

Test Despite of the fact that Vietnamese government attempts to outlaw the practice, the US Dollars still acts as an alternative currency which is almost completely interchangeable with Vietnam Dong. Many prices, especially for hotels, tours and expensive restaurants, are still quoted in USD, though you can pay in dong if you’d rather - just check what exchange rate they’re using.
For everyday expenses, we recommend you carry a mix of US Dollars cash and Vietnam Dong. For larger items or when the exchange rate works in your favour, use dollars. For cyclos, local food stalls and small purchases, it’s best to use Vietnam Dong. In either case, make sure you always have a stock of small notes so that there is no need to worry about change.
