Itinerary
Leaving Hanoi behind, we ride southwest toward the peaceful mountains of Hoa Binh Province. The road winds through limestone landscapes, traditional villages, and scenic valleys before descending into Mai Chau. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of this charming ethnic Thai village.
Today's ride takes us deeper into Northwest Vietnam along quiet mountain roads and picturesque valleys. Passing through rural communities and rolling hills, we enjoy beautiful scenery rarely seen by ordinary travelers. Arriving in Phu Yen, we experience authentic local life in one of the region's hidden gems.

Continuing north, we ride through spectacular mountain landscapes and remote ethnic minority villages. The route offers endless curves, panoramic viewpoints, and opportunities to witness daily life in Vietnam's highlands. By afternoon, we reach Nghia Lo, located in the fertile Muong Lo Valley.
Today features one of Vietnam's most famous mountain roads as we cross the legendary Khau Pha Pass. Winter brings crisp air and dramatic mountain scenery, making this one of the most rewarding riding days of the tour. Arrive in Mu Cang Chai and spend the afternoon exploring the region's iconic terraced hillsides.
The adventure continues through rugged mountain terrain toward Sapa. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of valleys, forests, and traditional villages scattered across the hillsides. Upon arrival in Sapa, take time to explore the vibrant mountain town and enjoy the cool winter atmosphere.
Enjoy a free day to discover Sapa at your own pace. After breakfast, you may choose to visit local ethnic minority villages, explore the town's cafés and markets, take a scenic trek through the surrounding valleys, or simply relax while enjoying panoramic views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. With no scheduled group activities or included meals beyond breakfast, today offers the flexibility to experience Sapa according to your own interests and travel style.

Leaving the mountains behind, we descend toward the peaceful waters of Thac Ba Lake. The ride offers a mix of mountain roads and countryside scenery before arriving at one of Northern Vietnam's largest freshwater lakes. Enjoy a relaxing evening by the water surrounded by nature.

Test Despite of the fact that Vietnamese government attempts to outlaw the practice, the US Dollars still acts as an alternative currency which is almost completely interchangeable with Vietnam Dong. Many prices, especially for hotels, tours and expensive restaurants, are still quoted in USD, though you can pay in dong if you’d rather - just check what exchange rate they’re using.
For everyday expenses, we recommend you carry a mix of US Dollars cash and Vietnam Dong. For larger items or when the exchange rate works in your favour, use dollars.
