Itinerary
Your adventure begins in Hanoi as you ride north, passing the scenic Hong Son Lake surrounded by limestone peaks and lush forests. The journey offers smooth roads and breathtaking landscapes before arriving in Mai Chau. Spend time exploring the peaceful valley, enjoy a traditional Thai dance performance, and stay overnight in authentic stilt houses.
Ride along the beautiful Da River, where stunning mountain views and tranquil waters accompany your journey. Cross the river by local ferry and continue through remote landscapes. After a short stop in Bac Yen, arrive in Phu Yen for a relaxing evening at a comfortable hotel.

After breakfast, continue through winding mountain roads, rice paddies, and traditional villages. The ride offers a glimpse into rural life before reaching Nghia Lo, where you will rest and prepare for the next leg of your journey.
Travel through the breathtaking Quy Ho Pass, surrounded by clouds, valleys, and plantations. Arrive in Sapa, a vibrant highland town known for its cool climate and rich culture. Visit the iconic stone church and interact with local ethnic communities. Overnight at a homestay.
After several days of riding, today is set aside for rest and recovery in Sapa. Surrounded by cool mountain air, misty valleys, and breathtaking rice terraces, this is the perfect moment to slow down and recharge.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before spending the rest of the day at your own pace. You may choose to relax at your accommodation, stroll through the charming town, or simply take in the peaceful atmosphere of the surrounding landscapes.
For those who prefer light activity, optional visits to nearby villages or scenic viewpoints can be arranged, but there is no fixed schedule—allowing you to fully unwind and enjoy the tranquility of Sapa before continuing your journey.
After visiting the local market, ride toward Ha Giang. Today’s route features challenging mountain roads, perfect for improving your riding skills. Optional stop at Thanh Ha hot springs before overnighting in Ha Giang.
Obtain your travel permit and journey through the dramatic landscapes of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, and Dong Van. Visit Pho Bang village and the historic Vuong Palace, showcasing unique architecture. Overnight in Dong Van.
Ride across the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, offering spectacular views of the Nho Que River. Continue through rugged mountain terrain to Bao Lac, a cultural crossroads of ethnic groups.

Test Despite of the fact that Vietnamese government attempts to outlaw the practice, the US Dollars still acts as an alternative currency which is almost completely interchangeable with Vietnam Dong. Many prices, especially for hotels, tours and expensive restaurants, are still quoted in USD, though you can pay in dong if you’d rather - just check what exchange rate they’re using.
For everyday expenses, we recommend you carry a mix of US Dollars cash and Vietnam Dong. For larger items or when the exchange rate works in your favour, use dollars. For cyclos, local food stalls and small purchases, it’s best to use Vietnam Dong. In either case, make sure you always have a stock of small notes so that there is no need to worry about change.
