We depart from the outskirts of Hanoi after a short briefing and bike preparation. The ride follows scenic routes along the Red River, gradually leading toward Thac Ba Lake.
As the landscape shifts into rolling hills, we arrive in Vu Linh, a tranquil Dzao village by the lakeside. Settle into a traditional homestay and enjoy genuine local hospitality.

Today’s route climbs into the Hoang Lien Son range, with stunning views of terraced rice fields, forested slopes, and remote villages.
Arriving in Sapa by the afternoon, you’ll have time to explore at your own pace—visit Cat Cat Village or simply relax in the cool mountain air.

Leaving Sapa behind, we ride toward Bac Ha, a region famous for its colorful ethnic markets and Flower Hmong heritage.
After spending time exploring, we continue to Xin Man, a quiet, lesser-known destination surrounded by valleys and farmland. Overnight in a peaceful mountain setting.

The morning begins with a visit to a local market before heading through the spectacular terraced landscapes of Hoang Su Phi.
An exciting off-road section across the Tay Con Linh range adds a sense of adventure before reaching Ha Giang. If conditions allow, we stop by Ha Thanh Waterfall.

Today’s ride takes you along one of the most iconic routes in Vietnam the Ha Giang Loop. Highlights include the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, offering dramatic views over the Nho Que River.
We arrive in Dong Van for an overnight stay in this historic mountain town.

We reach Bac Son, a region known for its green rice fields and panoramic mountain views—an ideal place to unwind in the evening.

Today’s ride marks a noticeable transition as we leave the rugged mountain landscapes behind and head toward the coast. The scenery gradually opens up into wider roads, lowland countryside, and eventually the distinctive limestone formations that signal our arrival near Ha Long Bay.
By mid to late afternoon, we reach the harbor area, where the pace of the journey begins to slow. After days of challenging mountain riding, this shift offers a refreshing change—trading winding passes for calm sea views. Take time to settle in, enjoy the coastal atmosphere, and prepare for the next stage of the experience on the water.

Today is dedicated to fully experiencing the beauty of Ha Long Bay from the water. After boarding the cruise, we begin a leisurely journey through a maze of towering limestone karsts rising dramatically from emerald waters.
Throughout the day, you’ll have opportunities to kayak through hidden lagoons, swim in quiet coves, and explore some of the bay’s most impressive caves, shaped over millions of years. The slower pace allows you to truly take in the surroundings—far removed from the intensity of the mountain roads earlier in the trip.
As evening approaches, return to the boat and unwind on deck. The sunset over the bay casts a golden glow across the limestone formations, creating one of the most memorable moments of the entire journey. Enjoy dinner onboard and the peaceful atmosphere of the bay at night.

Wake up to the quiet beauty of the bay in the early morning, when the water is calm and the surroundings feel especially serene. After breakfast onboard, we disembark and begin the return journey to Hanoi by car.
The drive takes us back through the Red River Delta, where the scenery shifts once again—this time to bustling towns, rice fields, and the growing energy of the capital. It’s a gradual transition from the stillness of the sea to the vibrant rhythm of city life.
By late afternoon, we arrive back in Hanoi, marking the end of the journey. From remote mountain passes and ethnic villages to tranquil lakes and the iconic seascape of Ha Long Bay, this tour leaves you with a rich collection of experiences and lasting memories of Northern Vietnam.

Test Despite of the fact that Vietnamese government attempts to outlaw the practice, the US Dollars still acts as an alternative currency which is almost completely interchangeable with Vietnam Dong. Many prices, especially for hotels, tours and expensive restaurants, are still quoted in USD, though you can pay in dong if you’d rather - just check what exchange rate they’re using.

For everyday expenses, we recommend you carry a mix of US Dollars cash and Vietnam Dong. For larger items or when the exchange rate works in your favour, use dollars. For cyclos, local food stalls and small purchases, it’s best to use Vietnam Dong. In either case, make sure you always have a stock of small notes so that there is no need to worry about change.

The short answer is, there's never a bad time to visit Vietnam! Not all seasons are created equal though and there are pros and cons to each.
March - April is typically the best season in terms of weather to visit Vietnam. Expect sun, mild temperatures and limited rain! This also means busy season, so make sure to book in advance if you plan to visit during these months.
May - August is the hotter times of the year in Vietnam and also the rainier season. Don't be too scared of the rain though! It typically only lasts an hour or two per day, if that. This rarely disrupts travel or our tours and you get to enjoy warmer weather.
September - November are a secret gem of a time to visit Vietnam. The temperature becomes more moderate than the summer, rain stops, and the conditions are perfect for trekking or motorcycle trips. This is also when Full Moon Celebrations happen in Vietnam, so it's a particularly festive season to experience Vietnamese culture.
December - February are the coldest months in Vietnam. During these months you may prefer to visit the southern parts of Vietnam which are warmer, and we have many tours that operate there!
