Having some time to spare in Hanoi, we had decided to join a travel tour in the famous Ha Long Bay of Vietnam. We chose Legacy Legend cruise, picked a 2 days and 1 night itinerary, and here I am gonna tell you about my experience when having this decision. My 2 days 1 night experience on Ha Long Legacy Legend Cruise
We began the Ha Long Bay tour on 08:00 AM when the tour guide came to pick us up from the hotel. I must say that his English was quite good and so did his services. We departed for Ha Long city through the countryside, farmlands and Red River delta, which were really breathtaking sceneries to watch. At about 10:00 AM, we stopped for a break, then continued on the journey.

At approximately 12:30 PM, we arrived at Tuan Chau Marina harbor, transferred to the Legacy Legend Cruise by tender, enjoyed some welcome drinks and checked-in our cabin. When passing some outstanding and miraculous tourist destinations of Ha Long Bay such as Ba hang fishing villages, Dinh Huong islet, Fighting Cock rock, we had the delicious lunch on the boat.
My favorite activity of the day was to rowing a small local bamboo boat for 1 hour to visit Ba hang floating fishing village. The tour guide was so professional when giving us some information and interesting facts about this fascinating village and its local community. We also did some kayaking around the Ha Long Bay, considering that kayaking is one of the unmissable activity to do in the bay. We had had some very memorable experiences.

At about 05:00 PM, we got back to the Legacy Legend Cruise, cruising to Drum cave area for docking and sleeping. In the afternoon, we relaxed, made the most of sunbathing on deck, took some impressive pictures, and tasted some Vietnamese local sweet fruits.
After dinner at 07:00 PM, we had quite interesting bonding and leisure time with high-quality services such as the bar, dancing, karaoke; watch the movie, enjoy night fishing, and so on.

On day two, we began the Ha Long Bay tour by taking a tai chi class which improved both mental and physical health greatly. Then after breakfast at 07:00 AM, we began to pass through many beautiful islets on the bay such as the Head man’s face islet, Saddle horse islet, Fairy lake, drum cave, Virgin cave.
At 08:00 AM, we visited the most famous place in Ha Long Bay, which was the splendid Surprise (Sung Sot) Cave. This is one of the most beautiful grotto in Ha Long Bay and included in almost every Ha Long Bay tour. You will feel surprised about the imposing of stalagmites, stalactites and many legend stories about that.

At about 09:15 AM, we got back to Legacy Legend Cruise to start checking out. But after that, we kept sailing back to the Habour through the waters and passing many beautiful islets and islands on the Bai Tu Long Bay. And the highlight of the Ha Long Bay tour was when we participated in the cooking class, we had learned to make some very delicious Vietnamese dishes.
Then finally, our journey came to an end. We got back at the harbor at 12:00 PM, head back to Hanoi and dropped off at 05:15 PM.

What do I think about Ha Long Legacy Legend Cruise?
To be honest, me and my family were all quite satisfied with the services and activities on Legacy Legend cruise. Ha Long Bay is an astonishing and famous World Natural Heritage of Northern Vietnam, and the Legacy Legend cruise had absolutely not let me down.
Every facility on the cruise was amazing, from the observatory, the theme cruise, the conference and meeting facilities, the boutique library to the restaurant, gymnasium and rowing boat. We had definitely had a great time here.

Because our journey in Ha Long Bay was quite short, we didn’t have the chance to try out all the services on the Legacy Legend cruise. I saw that they also have massage and spa, boutique shop, IDD at the reception, turndown service and daily presents as well as laundry service. I strongly recommend you to choose the 3 days and 2 nights itinerary for more time to explore everything.
